Tumble Royale drops sixty wobbly runners onto a candy-coloured obstacle gauntlet and eliminates them a round at a time. Spinning hammers, collapsing tiles and greased slides do most of the work; the rest is other players shoving you at the worst possible moment.

Rounds last ninety seconds, so a full crown run is a coffee break rather than an evening. The physics are deliberately loose — recovering from a bad bounce is a skill, and the best players fall as often as everyone else, just in better directions.

How to play

1. 1Join a lobby and wait for the countdown; matchmaking fills empty slots with other browser players.
2. 2Qualify each round by crossing the finish line before the slots run out — position beyond that does not matter.
3. 3Use dive to cross gaps and to slip under swinging obstacles; you cannot steer mid-dive, so commit early.
4. 4In the final round, play the edges. The centre of every finale map is where the pile-ups happen.
